Engage with Our Community

Work towards the better mental health and well-being of Kentuckians by speaking out on various psychological and mental health topics and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Promote Public

Education 

Help provide the public with the knowledge they need to understand different psychological topics, mental health challenges, how to seek services, and successfully navigate the path to mental wellness by planning and facilitating public education through webinars, Op-Eds, community events and more.

Increase Access to Psychological Resources

Support efforts to expand access to psychological services, particularly for underserved communities, ensuring that all Kentuckians benefit from the resources and expertise we offer.

Support Kentucky Psychology Students

Board members are responsible for reviewing and selecting qualified recipients for our various award and scholarship opportunities, as well as sharing information about award and scholarship opportunities.

Board Member Responsibilities: 

  • Actively participate in board/committee meetings and contribute to decision-making processes. Board members should be prepared to meet at least once a quarter via zoom with the full board, and intermittently in smaller groups for planning, facilitating, etc between larger meetings. 

  • Engage with the public to reduce the stigma around mental health and promote access to psychological services.

  • Assist in planning and implementing community outreach, programming, and public education initiatives.
