Every year the Kentucky Psychological Foundation honors two recipients with a Multicultural Professional Development Award at the Kentucky Psychological Association's Annual Convention. Applications for 2023 are now open - learn more and apply below!

The Multicultural Psychologist Professional Development Award

Award Amount: $500 

 

Application Requirements:
Qualified applicants are psychologists who represent a diverse group or population and a current KPA member in good standing.  Award money may be used for specific multicultural initiatives, training, conference, event, or membership dues to a multicultural national professional organization.

Application Deadlines:

Applications for 2023 are due by Monday, October 2, 2023. Candidates must submit their current CV and a letter of interest detailing how they will use award funding and the amount they are requesting, up to $500. Winners are required to submit a brief letter explaining how the award money was used and how the funds contributed to the goals stated in their application within one year of receiving the award.

The Multicultural Student Professional Development Award

Award Amount: $350 

 

Application Requirements:

Qualified applicants are psychology graduate students representing a diverse group or population. Award money may be used for specific multicultural initiatives, training, conference, event, or dues to a multicultural national professional organization.

 

Application Deadlines:

Applications for 2023 are due no later than Monday, October 2, 2023. Candidates must submit their current CV and a letter of interest detailing how they will use award funding and the amount they are requesting, up to $350. Winners are required to submit a brief letter explaining how the award money was used and how the funds contributed to the goals stated in their application within one year of receiving the award.
