Where Do I Start?

People of all ages, genders, races, and ethnicities may experience behavioral health conditions. Behavioral health is part of your whole health. Help is available.

Levels of Care

Most of this resource focuses on outpatient care but behavioral treatment is a continuum of intensity that should be matched to your needs.

Insurance / Cost

When thinking about psychotherapy, the cost is often an important consideration. It is important to understand your behavioral health benefits. Use your insurer's website or call the number on your insurance card to ask the following questions.

Find a Provider

When looking for a mental health provider, it is important you see a licensed professional. A license means the provider has both legal and ethical responsibilities to patients. It also means there is a process for filing a complaint, if necessary

Types of Treatment

There are more options than just 1:1 counseling and a whole alphabet soup of approaches. It's important to understand what you're looking for.
